The Manufactured Housing Division maintains standards of safety for all manufactured homes, factory built buildings and accessory structures. These standards promote the health, safety and welfare of Arizona citizens and are consistent with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standards.
The Department's enabling Statutes are in Title 41, Chapter 37, Article 3 or Arizona revised Statues (beginning on July 1, 2016).
The Rules which affect the Department's activities are located in A.A.C. Title 4, Chapters 34 and 36.
HUD STANDARDS and REGULATIONS
HUD has designated the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) as its State Administrative Agency for manufactured housing and related industries in Arizona. As such, ADOH strives to foster the public trust through implementation and enforcement of State and Federal Laws in a timely, fair and consistent fashion.

IMPORTANT Installation Memorandum (March 1, 2016)
YAVAPAI COUNTY-Effective February 1, 2016 all Mobile Home, Manufactured Home and FBB Installation Permits must be applied for through the Arizona Department of Housing.
Planning and Zoning permits will continue to be handled by Yavapai County.

ANNUAL INSTALLER TRAINING Manufacturers, dealers, salespersons and other interested parties from the manufactured housing industry are invited to attend as guests of the Department to enhance understanding of the installation of mobile homes, manufactured homes, and residential or commercial factory-built buildings throughout Arizona.
