Greg Cooper is the Assistant Deputy Director of Section 8 & Compliance for the Arizona Department of Housing. In this role, Mr. Cooper provides leadership and oversight to ensure affordable housing is provided within federal, state, and local guidelines. Mr. Cooper oversees compliance for properties with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Project Based Contract Administration (PBCA), HOME, Bond, Housing Trust Fund, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, Arizona Public Housing Authority, and Section 811 Project Rental Assistance funding and subsidies.
As the PBCA Administrator for the state of Arizona, Mr. Cooper oversees Housing Assistance Payments, Special Claims, Contract Renewals, Rent Adjustments, and UPCS Call Center concerns. Mr. Cooper also serves as the Administrator of the Arizona Public Housing Authority consisting of 200 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV), including Section 8 HCV, Veterans Administration Supportive Housing (VASH) Vouchers, and Portable Vouchers in Yavapai County.
Prior to his service with the state of Arizona, Mr. Cooper was a Senior Asset Manager for the Texas and Arkansas PBCA Contract Administrator for 13 years, and a Commercial Realtor and business owner for 12 years in Texas.
