The Arizona Housing Commission was created by Executive Order in 1996 to serve as an advisory body to the Governor and to the Arizona Department of Commerce, now the Arizona Department of Housing. In 1997, the Commission was formally established in statute. The Commission is comprised of 24 key decision-makers from private industry, community-based nonprofit housing organizations, and state, local and tribal governments.
