BUSINESS - DEALER LICENSE

A dealer is a person or entity who sells, exchanges, buys, offers or attempts to negotiate or acts as an agent for the sale or exchange of FBBs, manufactured homes or mobile homes except as exempted in A.R.S. § 41-4028. A lease or rental agreement by which the user acquired ownership of the unit with or without additional remuneration is considered a sale.

You may obtain a fingerprint card from any company or the law enforcement agency that provides fingerprinting services or you may request the Department mail a fingerprint card to you. Apply for Dealer license at e-Licensing Solution.

A review will take place within five (5) business days of the date the application is submitted online. The review notice will advise of the remaining items that must be completed and/or provided to complete the licensing requirement.


DEALER LICENSES OFFERED


CLASS: D-8 RETAILER OF MANUFACTURED HOMES OR MOBILE HOMES

BOND: $25,000.00

SCOPE: a) Buys, sells or exchanges new or used manufactured homes and used mobile homes; b) May sell new or used accessory structures included in a sales agreement; c) Acts as an agent for the sale or exchange of used manufactured homes or mobile homes including existing or new accessory structures included in a sales agreement; d) Make alterations to new manufactured homes before a sale to a purchaser; or e) Contracts with licensed installers or contractors for the installation of manufactured homes, mobile homes, and existing or new accessory structures included in a sales agreement.
THIS LICENSE SCOPE CANNOT SELL FBBs (ALSO KNOWN AS MODULARS OR UBC UNITS).


CLASS: D-8B BROKER OF MANUFACTURED HOMES OR MOBILE HOMES

BOND: EXEMPT

SCOPE: a) Acts as an agent for the sale or exchange of used manufactured homes or mobile homes that may include existing or new accessory structures included in a sales agreement; b) Contracts with licensed installers or contractors for the installation of (used) manufactured homes, mobile homes, and existing or new accessory structures included in a sales agreement.
THIS LICENSE SCOPE CANNOT BUY MANUFACTURED OR MOBILE HOMES FOR THE PURPOSE OF RESALE AND CANNOT BUY OR SELL FBBs.


CLASS: D-10 RETAILER OF FBBs

BOND: $25,000.00

SCOPE: a) Buys, sells, or exchanges new or used FBBs; b) Acts as an agent for the sale or exchange of new or used FBBs; b) Makes alterations to new FBBs before a sale to a purchaser; or c) Contracts with licensed installers or contractors holding an appropriate license issued by the Registrar of Contractors for the installation of FBBs including any existing or new accessory structures included in a sales agreement.
(FBBs ARE ALSO KNOWN AS FACTORY-BUILT BUILDINGS OR MODULARS OR UBC UNITS.) THIS LICENSE SCOPE CANNOT SELL MANUFACTURED HOMES OR MOBILE HOMES.


CLASS: D-12 MASTER RETAILER

BOND: $25,000.00

SCOPE: Performs work within the scope of classes D-8, D-8B, and D-10.
