Summer 2021 - Rental Development

2021 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Reservations Announced

On June 28, 2021, the Arizona Department of Housing announced that it had awarded Low Income Housing Tax Credit reservations to 14 rental projects comprised of 1,068 units in five counties across Arizona. Projects will be located in Maricopa County (8), Pima County (3), and one project each in Pinal, Coconino, and Yuma Counties. The value of the tax credits reserved was over 209.7 million.

Comment on the 2022 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP)

The Arizona Department of Housing is accepting comments for the 2022 QAP. While input will continue to be accepted through the end of the public process, written comments submitted to
[email protected] before August 23, 2021 at 5:00 pm, will be considered when formulating the first draft of the QAP.

State Housing Fund Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)

On July 15, 2021, the Arizona Department of Housing announced a 2021 – 2022 State Housing Fund Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Projects financed with 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits will be eligible for up to $2,000,000 in gap financing from the State Housing Fund. In addition to State Housing Trust Funds, National Housing Trust Funds are also available, making almost $21 million dollars available under this NOFA.
