ADOH Leadership visits Manufactured Housing Plant

In March, Arizona Department of Housing leadership visited the Champion Home Builders manufacturing facility in Chandler to get a firsthand look at how manufactured homes are built. Manufactured homes offer one of the most affordable opportunities for homeownership available in the state and the Department is pleased that it is now home to the Manufactured Housing Division, which regulates the Manufactured Housing and Factory Built Building industry in Arizona.

Arizona’s HOME Plus Home Mortgage Program now offering mortgages for Manufactured Homes

HOME Plus

The Arizona Industrial Development Authority’s HOME Plus Mortgage Program is now offering mortgages for manufactured homes that are affixed to a site as real property. This mortgage product offers a 30-year fixed-rate first mortgage with down payment and closing cost assistance (“DPA Assistance”) equal to a percentage of the principal balance of the new first mortgage loan, ranging from 0-5 percent, depending on the underlying mortgage type. The DPA Assistance provided under the program is in the form of a three year, no interest, no payment, deferred soft second mortgage, forgiven monthly at a rate of 1/36 over the term of the lien. DPA Assistance is only available in conjunction with a HOME Plus first mortgage.
