Housing Choice Voucher Program

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program Waiting List - Closed

The state of Arizona has an allotment of 70 vouchers for homeless veterans and an additional 89 vouchers for the general population of Yavapai County. The waiting list is currently closed – applications are not being accepted at this time. When the waiting list is open, a notice is published in local newspapers and social service agencies are notified. Because of the small number of vouchers, the waiting list is open infrequently.

If you currently have a voucher and are moving to Yavapai County from another jurisdiction, you must first get approval from the housing authority that issued your voucher. Once you have received approval, contact the local housing authority for the area where you intend to move.
