ADOH receives approximately $9 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fund eligible programs and projects in communities located in the 13 rural counties in the state.
Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs)
A Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) is a specially formed non-profit corporation established pursuant to federal regulations for purposes of accessing CHDO set-aside funds for the development of affordable housing made available through the federal HOME Investment Partnership Program. The HOME Investment Partnership Program is a federal funding source administered by the Arizona Department of Housing.
Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) project owners are required to submit an Annual Report to ADOH each year of the compliance period as defined in the Declaration of Affirmative Land Use and Restrictive Covenants Agreement (LURA). LIHTC Annual Reports are due annually on March 15th for the preceding calendar year.
