Public Hearing - 2016 APHA HCV Administrative Plan
The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) Public Housing Authority (PHA) invites public comments from now to March 9, 2016 regarding the updates to the PHA Administrative Plan (PHA-AP) for 2016 for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. The ADOH will hold a public comment hearing on March 9, 2016 at 3:00PM at the Yavapai County Public Administration Building (Boardroom), which is located at 1015 Fair Street, Prescott, Arizona 86305. NOTE: HCV PARTICIPANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND/OR COMMENT ON THE PLAN.
The Plan has been published on our website. Copies of the Plan are also available visiting the ADOH at 1110 W. Washington Street, Suite 310, Phoenix, Arizona 85007 during normal business hours or by telephoning the numbers listed below. All current HCV participant households have been mailed notification of the upcoming changes and are invited to comment. The comments will be accepted electronically, orally, in writing, or in any other medium available and will be accepted until March 9, 2016.

ADOH Announces NOFA for CDBG SSP
The Arizona Department of Housing (the Department) is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for funding through the Community Development and Revitalization (CDBG). For FY2015, the Department expects to allocate approximately $1,306,620 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds to State Special Projects (SSP). The FY2015 SSP funds will be distributed in one competitive funding round and the application submission deadline is Friday, April 15, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. See Information Bulletin 21-15 on the Publication Archives page.
ADOH Announces NOFA for OOHR Rehabilitation
The Arizona Department of Housing (the Department) is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for funding through the State Housing Fund (SHF), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). This NOFA is for housing rehabilitation programs for owner occupied single family dwellings. For Federal FY2015 the Department expects to allocate approximately $2,000,000.00 in SHF. The SHF will be allocated through one competitive funding round and the application submission deadline is February 18, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. See Information Bulletin 19-15 on the Publications page.
Section 811 Survey Results Released
The Arizona Department of Housing received a Section 811 grant award from HUD to provide rental assistance subsidies for residents of LIHTC developments. ADOH is providing the results of a recent survey conducted of over 1,200 persons with developmental disabilities concerning their housing needs and preferences in IB 18-15.

First draft of 2015 Analysis of Impediments posted.
As a requirement to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, HUD Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Division requires entitlement jurisdictions to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing in order to carry out the full intent of federal fair housing legislation. Part of this requirement involves developing an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) to guide the jurisdiction’s Consolidated Plan and policies. The State of Arizona is a CDBG Entitlement Jurisdiction and has authorized the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) to complete the AI. ADOH has posted the first draft of the 2015 Analysis of Impediments on its Publications page.
