GOVERNOR HOBBS' ARIZONA IS HOME
Statewide
Arizona is Home is a down payment assistance program for first time home buyers in the State of Arizona. A First-time buyer is defined as someone who has not owned real estate in the last 3 years. The funds can be used for down payment, interest rate buydown, and closing costs related to the purchase of a home. Eligible homebuyers who are at 80% or below Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible to receive up to $30,000 and homebuyers who are between 81% to 120% of AMI are eligible to receive up to $20,000. Assistance is being offered as a silent second mortgage that is due on sale. Homebuyers must attend an 8-hour homebuyer education class and meet one-on-one with a HUD-certified Home Ownership Advisor.
