Featured Grand Openings Around the State - Spring 2019
The Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) is currently committed to or actively involved in financing 4,123 affordable rental units in various stages of production, 1,165 in pre-development, and 2,958 currently under construction or renovation. Of the 2,958 in production, 316 units are expected to receive Certificates of Occupancy in the next quarter and be ready to receive new renters.

West Point Apartments and Miracle Point Apartments, Tucson
On March 4, 2019, the West Point Apartments and Miracle Point Apartments team in Tucson celebrated the grand openings of two affordable housing properties. West Point consists of 50 units for older persons, with a preference for veterans. Miracle Point has 40 units and has set aside 25% of the units for persons with disabilities. Arizona Department of Housing provided a combined investment of $22.5 million in federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits to both properties.

Mesa Artspace Lofts, Mesa
The Mesa Artspace Lofts team and its residents celebrated the grand opening of a new construction project consisting of 50 workforce housing units for families in Mesa on January 23, 2019. Arizona Department of Housing’s allocation in Low Income Housing Tax Credits provided $13 million to help finance the project.

19 West Apartments, Phoenix
On March 27, 2019 the 19 West Apartments team celebrated the grand opening of a newly-constructed affordable housing community in Phoenix. The property, which is owned by UMOM New Day Center, contains 54 affordable housing units for households with children. The State provided an investment of $15.2 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits to the project.
