Manufactured Housing Symposium
Advancing the Idea of Communities More Fully Integrating Homeownership Opportunities through Manufactured Housing
Joining forces in hosting a manufactured housing industry symposium titled “Changing Our Thinking about Manufactured Housing in Our Community” was the Arizona Department of Housing, Arizona Department of Real Estate and ASU W.P. Carey School of Business Center for Real Estate Theory and Practice. The half-day event on November 9th at ASU SkySong in Scottsdale attracted over 150 housing and development professionals from across the state serving in real estate, housing development, manufactured housing, planning and zoning, single-family lending, and affordable housing advocates.
This industry opportunity was designed to advance ideas of communities more fully integrating homeownership opportunities through manufactured housing. With the average cost of new site built construction increasing at a rapid pace, the incorporation of manufactured housing through in-fill and subdivision settings could potentially open up new opportunities for homeownership throughout Arizona.
Joining hosts Carol Ditmore, Arizona Department of Housing; Mark Stapp, ASU W.P. Carey School of Business; and Judy Lowe, Arizona Department of Real Estate, presenters included:
Catherine Reagor, Senior Real Estate Reporter, The Arizona Republic
Kevin Clayton, CEO, Clayton Homes
Alan Stephenson, Planning & Development Director, City of Phoenix
Manjula Voz, Member, Gammage & Burnham
Debra Blake, Assistant Deputy Director/Manufactured Housing, Arizona Department of Housing
Brian Peddicord, Mortgage Advisor, Finance of America Mortgage
Andy Gordon, Arizona Market President, Arizona Multibank, a Division of Clearinghouse CDFI
