On December 6th, 2016 a ground breaking ceremony took place for First Place-Phoenix which serves as Phase II following the development of 29 Palms. First Place-Phoenix was approved in 2016 for funds from the State Housing Trust Funds to build approximately 50 units in addition to 4 units for the Transition Academy. Services include opportunities for independent living and life skills training for adults with autism and other special abilities.
