ADOH Welcomes A New Team Member
Olivia Gutzman, Special Needs Administrator
Olivia Gutzman joined the Department on January 11 as the Special Needs Administrator for the Special Needs Division. Olivia is an experienced housing professional bringing over 15 years of experience in Human Services, Self Sufficiency, Economic Sustainability, Program Management and Community Initiatives. Prior to joining the Department, Olivia served as the Director of Emergency Services/Chief Program Officer at UMOM where she provided leadership, supervision and program-focused support. Previous experience also includes serving as Director of Property Management, Primavera Foundation; Housing Specialist, Community Partnership of Southern Arizona; and Housing Counselor, Family Housing Resources. Oliva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) in Guadalajara, Mexico.
ADOH 2020 Employee of the Year
Angenique Castaneda, Accountant
Angenique Castaneda is the Arizona Department of Housing's 2020 Employee of the Year. Demonstrating each of the agency's Guiding Principles, Angenique has proven herself indispensable to the Accounting team and the Department.
When the Department began to telework as a result of the pandemic, Angenique continued to come into the office when some of her team members were unable to. Angenique stepped up to automate all the accounting procedures that allowed her team members to work from home and remain safe. She has consistently been available to answer questions, solve problems and helped a new team member understand the Department's programs and procedures.
Her nominator said, "Anqenique has been the main contact with all the sections and has continually shown professionalism and caring. She has just been amazing!"
