ADOH Staffing News - Summer 2020

JOB ANNOUNCEMENTS

STAFFING UPDATE - WE'RE HERE TO HELP

The Arizona Department of Housing remains open during weekday business hours, from 8 am to 5 pm.

In keeping with Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Arizona Department of Health Services recommendations, currently over 70 percent of our office staff are teleworking from home each day with a very limited amount of staff physically in the office. We remain fully available during business hours by telephone and email, in order not to delay the work of the Department.

Our Manufactured Housing & Building inspectors continue to work in the field inspecting homes that are still being built in the manufactured housing plants, as well as inspecting newly installed homes, and are taking all the necessary precautions with physical distancing.

We’re here to help and continue to adjust to changing circumstances to keep the State’s housing and community development resources available.

ADOH WELCOMES A NEW TEAM MEMBER

Melinda Su

Melinda Su joined the Arizona Department of Housing on June 15 as its Affordable Multifamily Housing Loan Specialist.  Melinda brings her experience as a mortgage regulator at the State of Arizona Department of Financial Institutions to the Department, where she examined loan and securities portfolios of mortgage bankers and mortgage brokers.  Prior to that, she spent twenty years in consumer finance ranging from personal banking to consumer loan underwriting.

ADOH EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER

Chris Zygmont, Information Technology Manger – 1st Quarter 2020

Four must be a magic number for Chris Zygmont, as he received four nominations to receive his fourth award as Employee of the Quarter. When the Department was urged to adopt a telecommuting policy, literally overnight, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, who did that task fall to, to get it all going? Chris.

As one of his nominators put it, "He has been professional in his dealing with staff all while moving quickly to address equipment needs and cyber security. Through much labor behind the scenes, Chris has made the transition to telecommute simple for ADOH Staff, which has allowed us to continue to serve the public seamlessly."

Congratulations, Chris and thank you from all of us!
