The Arizona Department of Housing, in partnership with the Arizona Home Foreclosure Prevention Funding Corporation, has retained MG Investigations, a private investigation firm, to validate certain eligibility criteria regarding applications submitted for mortgage foreclosure assistance. Areas that may be investigated include, but may not be limited to: occupancy of the assisted home, household composition, and employment status. This process is part of the program’s internal controls processes to combat against possible fraud and misuse of public resources.
Validations are routinely and randomly conducted and are not an indication that a program participant is under suspicion of program violations. If you are a program participant or someone who has been contacted regarding such a review, cooperation in assisting with this process is appreciated.
If you have further questions or concerns about this process, someone will be available for you to contact during regular business hours. You may contact any of the following individuals by telephone:
- The participant’s assigned housing counselor; or
- Contact the Arizona Department of Housing at (602) 771-1000 and request to speak with the Mortgage Foreclosure Programs Administrator or the Assistant Deputy Director of Operations.
