Arizona Housing Finance Authority
The Arizona Housing Finance Authority (AzHFA) operates under the Arizona Department of Housing and focuses on providing affordable housing opportunities to all Arizonans. AzHFA raises funds for our initiatives in the national capital markets and forms partnerships with banking and lending institutions to facilitate our programs throughout the state.
Effective July 22, 2014, AzHFA will no longer issue new Mortgage Credit Certificates.
A loan origination program offering a competitive 30 year fixed rate mortgage with a down payment assistance grant equal to 4% of the mortgage amount.
The AzHFA has the authority to issue tax-exempt bonds for qualifying multifamily apartments in the thirteen rural counties.
