Anakaren Lemus is the Chief Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH). She is a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in legislative affairs, regulatory processes, and public policy. In her current role, Anakaren leads the agency’s legislative strategy, fosters stakeholder relationships, and ensures alignment with state priorities to advance ADOH’s mission.

Prior to joining ADOH, Anakaren served as the Legislative Specialist for the Arizona Department of Administration and Arizona Lottery, where she played a key role in policy development and legislative analysis. She previously worked at the Governor’s Regulatory Review Council as a Paralegal Project Specialist, a role she held for nearly five years while also serving as the Public Records Manager. Before that, she was the Senior Paralegal at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, where she provided legal and regulatory support on environmental policies.

Anakaren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Public Policy from the University of Arizona.
